What is IPL?

IPL stands for intense pulsed light, and it is a form of light therapy, used for various dermatological procedures including hair removal.

Home IPL hair removal devices apply very gentle pulses of light to the hair root. This makes the hair go into its resting phase: the hair you have falls out, and gradually your body grows less hair in that area.

IPLSkin is gentle enough to be used safely on your whole body. Treat yourself once a week and do your arms, legs, underarms, bikini area, and facial hair in minutes. See noticeable hair reduction after only 3-4 sessions. This effect is permanent and becomes more pronounced after each session with complete results after 12 sessions.

It is for this reason that IPL is really only suitable for those with a good contrast between skin and hair tone.

If you have pale skin and dark hair, you are the ideal candidate for this type of hair removal.

If your skin tone is too dark, then the risk of the skin absorbing the light and burning becomes greater.

Hair colour is also an important factor, with IPL not being effective for anyone with light blonde, white, grey or red hair.
